Why we started Roog

Ask anyone here about their first car and you will not get a spec sheet. You will get a story — the borrowed bakkie, the coast run that should have taken four hours, the mate who insisted he knew a shortcut.
That is the part of car ownership nobody sells you. The industry sells finance terms, service intervals and trade-in values. All necessary. All joyless.
Roog exists to sit on the other side of that line. We want the chase, the road and the people to be the point again — and we want everything around it to take less of your weekend.
This is the first of many posts. Expect road stories, honest opinions, and the occasional plain-English explainer about the parts of ownership that usually come in fine print.
